About the Project

This was an Entrepreneurial Journey project in collaboration with MBA students from Imperial College Business School. The goal was to develop a business proposal within three months.

Background

We aim to bridge the gap between STEM learning and modern technology to help raise the next generation of explorers by providing simple yet innovative STEM resources which enhance learning in an adventurous and engaging way.

Market trends

Our team aimed to introduce a drone-based STEM curriculum for children aged 6-12 in the UK. While STEM courses are widespread in the US, we identified a significant opportunity for expansion in the UK market.

Harbinger Workshop

We had a rather fun workshop with 30 kids aged around 10 at Harbinger Primary School.

The students were absolutely thrilled after learning about drones, assembling drones and flying drones. They loved our workshop!

Reflections

In this project, I served as a service designer alongside another student. I was primarily responsible for the team's visual design and product design aspects.

This project taught me how to communicate across cultures and disciplines with business students. While I've already accumulated experience collaborating with diverse, cross-disciplinary designers during my year at RCA, working with business students taught me the importance of using data to communicate. It also gave me insight into what investors look for, making it a fascinating experience.
